5802T – Field Engineer

Our client is a specialist in metal fabrication and provides engineering solutions in transport heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions. In order to support the growth in demand, they are currently looking for a Field Engineer to work within their rail sector team on a full-time temp to perm basis.

Role overview:

The roles will incorporate a mix of factory and off-site work, with the potential of going abroad. You will be involved in the installation and service of air-conditioning systems to locomotives, service and repairs to commercial vehicle air-conditioning systems, refurbishment of equipment removed from locomotives and trains and involvement with various conversions.

Person Specification:

You will ideally have experience of working in a similar role, but it is more essential that you have a good Engineering background with the willingness to learn and able to work as part of a team. Must also be able to work away from home, as the role may involve travelling in the UK and abroad.

Base location: Lincoln

Salary: Dependent on skills experience

Hours: 39 hours per week, Mon – Thurs 7:30am – 4:30pm and Fri 7:30am – 12:30pm with amended hours when working away

Holidays: 23 days holiday per annum plus statutory holidays
