Some of the most common questions that are asked of us are answered below but should you have any questions that have not been answered then please feel free to call.

Do I have to pay?

No, the service is free of charge.

If I register as a temp will I be considered for permanent work as well?

Yes. In fact, if you are temping for us, it allows us to gain a much better understanding of your capabilities and in turn we can match your skills set more accurately.

Will I need to supply a P45 in order to temp?

Yes, otherwise the standard tax code will be applied. The Inland Revenue will then notify us of any tax code changes.

How long will I be on Quest’s database for?

As long as you need to be unless we have not been able to contact you or you request your P45.

How often will I get paid as a temp?

Subject to receiving a signed time sheet on time, you will be paid weekly straight into your bank. (First week is in arrears)

Can I apply for other jobs while I am registered with you?

Yes, but if you see a job that you are interested in it is always worth contacting us as the company may be a client of ours already and sometimes a recommendation from an agency gives you a head start.

How often will I get contacted?

We will of course be in contact on a regular basis as part of our candidate update and if we have a suitable vacancy then we will call you immediately.

Do I have to give notice if I am in a temporary booking?

We would like to think that if you were in an assignment for us that you would try and give us some notice so that we can replace you in your position.
